Vineet Agrawal is President, Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting Group (WCCLG).

Vineet, a B. Tech from IIT (Delhi), joined Wipro from Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management (Mumbai) in 1985 in the Sales and Marketing function of Wipro Consumer Care. After his significant contribution in establishing various national brands such as Santoor, Wipro Shikakai, Sunflower Vanaspati and Wipro Baby Soft range of products, Vineet took over the baton of repositioning the Wipro Identity, eventually leading to the launch of the new Wipro Identity in April 1998.

In 1999, he was appointed as the Chief Executive of Wipro Peripherals and contributed immensely in the consolidation and growth of the business.

In July 2000, Vineet was appointed as the Corporate Vice President, responsible for Mission: Quality, Wipro Brand and Innovation for Wipro Corporation. Wipro launched the Innovation Initiative, ‘Wipro Applying thought in schools’ program, and Six Sigma consultancy under his leadership.

In 2002, Vineet was appointed as the President of Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting Group (WCCLG). Under his leadership, the business has grown aggressively at a CAGR of 38%.

WCCLG is a diversified business with interests in FMCG, Lighting, Furniture, Switches and Personal Care products. Under Vineet’s leadership, the business has successfully acquired and integrated Glucovita, Chandrika and North-West brands. Vineet also led the team to acquire Singapore-based “Unza” a personal care product company. Unza has a strong presence in South-East Asia, Middle East and Africa, and manufacturing plants at Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and China. WCCLG itself has a strong manufacturing base in India with plants at Amalner, Waluj, Baddi, Haridwar, Tumkur, Mysore and Chennai.

WCCLG has invested in a ‘State-of-the-Art’ Manufacturing unit for its Furniture line at Waluj in Maharashtra and also has a ‘Modern All-Ladies-Managed Seating Plant’ at Chennai.

Vineet has a high focus on Customer contacts and travels extensively to meet WCCLG’s valued customers.
