Partha Banik is National Manager – Infrastructure Projects and Outdoor, C&I Lighting & Furniture Business in Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting Group.

Partha has done his Graduation in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from Calcutta University. He has also completed ‘Management Development Programme’ from IIM, Ahmedabad.

Partha joined Wipro in 1996 in the Sales function of Wipro Lighting. Prior to this, Partha has worked with Inductotherm (India) Ltd, where he began his career in Projects.  Inductotherm is an American MNC and a World Leader in Induction melting, heating and welding equipments.

Subsequent to his experience in the leading American Multinational, Partha joined Wipro in Kolkata to start the C & I Lighting Operations in the East. Partha has handled Regional responsibility of Central and East India. Partha has worked in diverse markets of Maharashtra, MP, Chhattisgarh, AP, West Bengal and North East.

In 2008, he was appointed as a National Manager to start and bring focus into the Infrastructure Projects (IP) vertical of Wipro Lighting’s C&I Business. In his new role, he contributed significantly to the Strategy and Positioning of Wipro Lighting from a ‘Leader in Indoor Lighting’ to a ‘Total Lighting Company’ with a focus on Infrastructure Projects and Outdoor.

Due to his keen understanding of IP Business, Wipro Lighting has had the privilege of executing numerous prestigious projects in the Airport, Power, Core Industries, Roads, Railways, Ports etc.

Partha is an active member and a Chartered Engineer of Institute of Engineers (India).
